A representative of Untold Brewing did not immediately return What Now Boston’s request for comment.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to Untold Brewing’s recent Instagram post, “It’s built upon this success that we are excited to announce the next chapter for Untold; our forthcoming, third, and largest taproom yet in Plymouth.”
Untold Brewing originally opened in 2017. Their mission statement is to create high-quality ales and lagers in different styles that connect to seasons, the community, and their past. Untold was originally founded by Matt Elder who is a Scituate native, and began brewing professionally in Seattle with a background that reflects representation of the East Coast and the West Coast.
Untold has four flagship beers, described as showcasing the diversity of their brewing. These four are East by Northwest, Sunny Sea, Pale 143, and Seatown. East by Northwest is a West Coast IPA, Sunny Sea is a Hazy IPA, Pale 143 is an American Pale Ale, and Seatown is a lager.
East by Northwest, one of their first beers, is described as being clear with subtle malt flavorings, dry hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe for complexity. Sunny Sea is available “almost” all year, with a dominant citrus flavor. Pale 143 also holds a citrus flavor, yet is more “bright” and “crisp”, with Seatown rounding out the four flagships as a crisp and refreshing pilsner, according to the company website.
