A member of the Friends of Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Facebook page recently spotted workers installing Levain Bakery signage in Boston’s Seaport District.
Although the exact address hasn’t been disclosed yet, several signs on the windows hint at the exciting news, proclaiming messages like “Baked in Boston,” “Big News: Big Cookies Coming to Seaport,” and “Yes, We’re Hiring!”
Initially established in 1995 as a humble bread shop by friends and bakers Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald, Levain has since expanded both its presence and offerings. With fifteen stores spread across six states, including one in Boston’s Back Bay, the bakery has garnered acclaim for its giant cookies, crumbly pastries, and freshly baked bread.
What Now Boston has reached out to CEO John Maguire for more information, so keep an eye out for further details as they come in.
