According to Hingham Anchor, Tatte Bakery & Café is coming to the Derby Street Shops at 92-98 Derby Street in Hingham, just in time for the shopping center’s 20th anniversary.

This expansion follows recent news that Tatte is considering new locations in Burlington and Lexington, along with their recently opened site in the John Hancock Tower.

Tatte began in 2007 in the home kitchen of founder Tzurit Or. There, she spent 20 hours a day perfecting her baked goods, which she sold at various Boston farmers’ markets. After just one summer, Tatte opened its first brick-and-mortar bakery in Brookline and today boasts nearly 40 locations across Massachusetts and the Metro DC area.

True to its reputation for “elegant comfort food,” Tatte’s Derby Street menu will feature fresh salads, sandwiches, shakshuka, pastries, and seasonal offerings, complemented by a curated selection of craft coffee, tea, and sodas.

The upcoming Tatte will exude comfort and class, showcasing its signature tiles and mosaics, antique light fixtures, rustic wooden tables, and marble bistro sets. A highlight of the new location will be the glass cases brimming with beautiful pastries and desserts, always a favorite attraction for guests.

“As we celebrate Derby Street’s 20th anniversary this month, we are elated to announce the addition of Tatte and to bring its delightful array of pastries, dishes, and community spirit to the South Shore,” said Caroline Hessberg, General Manager of Derby Street Shops. “Tatte truly complements our continuously evolving mix of brands and is sure to feel like a home away from home with its comfortable and inviting atmosphere—perfect for a coffee date, meeting, or a delicious meal with friends and family.”

The Derby Street Shops Tatte Bakery & Café is slated to welcome guests later this year.
