The beloved independent bookstore announced today that it will be relocating from its longtime home on White Street to a larger, newly-renovated space at 1815 Massachusetts Ave. This new, expansive location in Lesley University’s University Hall will allow PSB to offer an even wider selection of books.

But the changes extend beyond the shelves—PSB is bidding farewell to its longtime partner, Cafe Zing!, who will stay in the plaza and share its next chapter on Instagram. Meanwhile, PSB will welcome a new cafe partner, perfectly suited to match the vibe of its new home.

Enter Page & Leaf Cafe, the latest venture from the minds behind local favorites Diesel, Bloc, and Forge. Jennifer Park, Tucker Lewis, and Courtney Verhaalen are bringing their signature style and collective expertise to this exciting new project, creating a cafe experience that’s both fresh and familiar.

In a recent interview with What Now Boston, Park revealed that two decades ago, the original Porter Square Books owners approached Diesel Cafe to discuss a potential partnership.

“We turned that opportunity down back then because we just weren’t in a position to run a multi-store operation,” she explained. “20 years later, and we’ve been neighbors and customers of Porter Square Books for so many years, and I feel like they’re an incredible asset to our community. So when they kind of informally reached out, we jumped at the opportunity.”

Page & Leaf will feature favorite items from Diesel, Bloc, and Forge, complemented by new offerings from local vendors. Patrons can look forward to a variety of breakfast and lunch options, including pastries, smoothies, and other classic cafe comforts.

The new Porter Square Books is set to open in October, with Page & Leaf Cafe following closely behind in November, just in time for the bookstore’s bustling holiday season. For the latest updates, be sure to follow Page & Leaf on Instagram.
