According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Kimchipapi Kitchen will soon open at 184 Salem St, occupying the space previously home to Emone Tofu.
Permits recently filed with the city confirm this news, revealing that the 1,400-square-foot space has undergone approximately $60,000 worth of renovations, including re-tiling and painting. The eatery will accommodate up to 22 guests.
Founded in 2018 by Joon Son, also known as “Kimchipapi,” the restaurant offers a variety of Korean-style dishes such as hot dogs, korndogs, street food, bowls, fried chicken, and other fried snacks. It also serves mochi donuts from its sister restaurant, Pon de Joy.
Kimchipapi Kitchen is expected to open in Malden sometime this fall. For the latest updates, follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram.
