The Board of Zoning Appeal will hold a virtual public meeting on Thursday, September 5, 2024 to decide if SoBol can take over the 776-square-foot space within The Abbot building at 5 John F. Kennedy St, currently occupied by Tiger Sugar.

Founded in 2013, SoBol specializes in açaí bowls, green bowls, fruit smoothies, Belgian waffles, and other fresh fare. The franchise currently operates over 70 locations across eight states, with the nearest sites in Beverly, Duxbury, and North Andover.

Anup Bhagat, one of the franchisees behind the proposed Cambridge SoBol location, told What Now Boston that more information should be available soon. Stay tuned for updates following next week’s meeting.
