Taco Azul will soon debut at 21 Beacon St. In a Facebook video, owner and seasoned restaurateur Dan Leyva—who is also behind the local Wings Over chain—shared his excitement about the new venture.
“When we first saw this space over ten months ago, we knew that it could be something special,” he said. “And thanks to the help of countless people, ten months later, every single one of our expectations has been exceeded.”
True to its name, Taco Azul’s menu will feature a variety of tacos, including steak and crispy fish, all served on freshly made blue corn tortillas. The eatery will also offer guacamole, margaritas, and other Mexican favorites.
The restaurant’s interior will transport diners to a tropical oasis with 20-foot ceilings, vibrant colors, lush greenery, wood accents, and cozy seating.
There will be a takeout area and an open kitchen with a chef’s counter, allowing patrons to watch their meals being prepared. At the back, an open bar will provide a relaxed gathering space.
While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, Leyva told Boston Magazine that the restaurant is expected to open sometime this fall. He envisions this location as the first of many, with plans to expand into Seaport, Cambridge, and throughout Massachusetts.
“We can’t wait to open those doors and welcome you,” said Leyva. “Stay tuned so you can be the first to know when we’re ready to open.” For the latest updates, be sure to follow Taco Azul on Facebook and Instagram.
