Tama Sushi & Ramen has applied for food vendor and non-live entertainment licenses at 915 Worcester St. This space was previously occupied by Oga’s Japanese Cuisine, which closed just a few months ago.

Tang Chan, who will run the new restaurant with his partner Qifeng Wu, told What Now Boston that the Natick location will serve as a sister restaurant to Canton’s Tama Japanese Ramen & Bar, which opened last year.

While the Canton location focuses on Japanese ramen and appetizers, the Natick branch will emphasize sushi and hibachi. The new restaurant will feature seating for 110 patrons within its 4,300 square feet, and Chan and Wu intend to renovate both the interior and the surrounding plaza.

The Select Board is scheduled to review the application at its upcoming meeting on September 18, 2024. If approved, Tama Sushi & Ramen is slated to open sometime next spring.
