Owner Javier Baez recently announced that School Street Foods will debut this fall at 618 Salem St in Lynnfield.

“Get ready for a full menu featuring New England’s best empanadas and more,” Baez shared. “Tuesday-Saturday, starting early November, with online ordering, delivery, dine-in, takeout, and catering.”

Chef Baez draws inspiration from his grandfather, who ran a 24-hour pastelito shop in Puerto Rico. Known for his modern take on traditional Latin American pastries, Baez offers pastelitos and empanadas in inventive flavors like chicken bacon ranch, birria, vegetarian, and Philly cheesesteak.

In addition to the savory pastries, the menu could include dishes like stewed chicken, grilled pork loin, and beef stew.

“More details to come but thank you to all the people that have supported this dream and this vision over the years,” wrote Baez. “We wouldn’t be here with out you and we look forward to feeding you and hopefully putting smiles on your faces.”

Baez told What Now Boston that a soft launch is planned for November 12, with the grand opening to follow on November 16. For the latest updates, be sure to follow School Street Foods on Facebook and Instagram.
