According to The Boston Sun, First Watch is eyeing a spot in Boston’s Back Bay, with the proposal discussed this week at a virtual Neighborhood Association meeting.

With more than 540 locations spanning 29 states, the Florida-based breakfast chain hopes to open its second Boston-area outpost on the ground floor of 777 Boylston St, between Abe & Louie’s and Atlantic Fish Company.

The restaurant would occupy one side of the space, while Swingers—a London-based miniature golf chain—is set to take the other.

If approved, the Back Bay eatery would join another First Watch location in Hanover, which is currently under construction and slated to open in January 2025.

First Watch’s chef-driven menu, which rotates five times a year, features elevated versions of classic favorites as well as specialties like the Quinoa Power Bowl, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Chickichanga, Morning Meditation Juice, and signature Million Dollar Bacon.

In addition to the fresh fare, the proposed Boylston St site is seeking a liquor license to offer a small selection of mixed drinks, including Bloody Marys and sangria.

Though occupancy details are still being finalized, the location is expected to seat fewer than First Watch’s typical 200 patrons and would feature a patio.

Mackenzie Garrett, the Public Relations Manager at First Watch, told What Now Boston that she would reach out with further details as they become available.
