Basel Badawi and Marcelino Abou Ali, the founders of Marcelino’s Boutique Bar in Providence, are bringing Marcelino’s, Levantine Cocktails & Cuisine to 2 Northern Ave in Boston’s Seaport District. Nestled beside the John Joseph Moakley Courthouse, the venue offers stunning views of Boston Harbor.
According to a recent Caught in Southie report, Marcelino’s cocktail menu will feature a variety of “expertly crafted” cocktails and mocktails designed by beverage director Refaat Ghostine. With over a decade of experience in high-profile establishments across the U.S., Lebanon, and the UAE, Ghostine has curated one-of-a-kind cocktails like the Oregano Tomato and the Watermelon-Rhubarb.
Crafted by Chef Maroun Nohra, the food menu will feature mezze-style small plates alongside a selection of dinner and dessert options. Drawing inspiration from his grandmother’s Lebanese kitchen and his global fine-dining experience, Chef Nohra will serve extravagant dishes such as tahini chicken schnitzel and grilled lamb chops with Turkish ezme and cumin salt.
The ambiance is designed to be just as captivating as the cuisine. Influenced by Andalusian design, the space will feature rich colors, warm lighting, and intricate decor for an immersive Levantine experience. Every detail, from the music to the room temperature, has been thoughtfully considered to enhance the atmosphere.
While the opening date has not yet been announced, Marcelino’s Instagram teases that it will debut soon.
