A representative of Verveine Cafe and Bakery did not immediately respond to What Now Boston’s request for comment.

Glass told the Boston Globe that Verveine will be opening sometime this fall, and can be described as a charming and “Parisian-inspired” culinary space, beckoning with its intimate setting and delectable menu. With a seating capacity of 24, patrons will be able to find a wide array of options, from kimchi egg danishes to fried strawberry chamomile doughnuts, and cream biscuits with maple pepper bacon and scrambled eggs.

Monica Glass describes her journey as an unconventional path to culinary success. Unlike many renowned chefs, Glass did not attend culinary school. Instead, she pursued a BA in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations at Penn State University.

However, her passion for food remained a constant presence in her life. While working with food-related clients during her early career, she felt a deep-seated gravitation toward the culinary world.

Driven by her passion and desire to excel, Glass found herself in remarkable culinary establishments working with renowned mentors. From Le Bernardin’s Michael Laiskonis to Ken Oringer at Clio in Boston, these culinary geniuses became her guides and sources of inspiration. Their expertise and guidance allowed Glass to develop her skills and refine her culinary artistry, according to her website.
