Nick Varano, the proprietor with a portfolio spanning various local restaurants including Strega North End and Fratelli, has not responded to What Now Boston’s request for comment.

In a recent Instagram post from Rina’s, a message bids farewell to the restaurant but promises an imminent and exciting replacement: “We said goodbye to Rina’s Pizzeria, but will be saying hello to something new and exciting soon! Stay tuned!” While the specifics of the forthcoming concept remain undisclosed, Varano’s track record indicates that it will carry the unmistakable Italian influences that have come to define his other culinary ventures.
